ITAC brings together experts from across the Canadian security intelligence community to produce integrated threat assessments. The Centre is staffed with representatives from its key partner agencies.
As a producer of threat assessments, ITAC uses information from these key partners. The partners also help to determine what the subjects of the threat assessments will be. Once completed, the threat assessments are circulated among these partners as well as to other groups involved in Canadian security, such as first responders.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is responsible for providing integrated border services in support of national security and public safety priorities as well as facilitating the free flow of persons and goods.
Canadian Security Intelligence Service
The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) has a mandate to collect, analyze, and retain information or intelligence on activities that may be suspected of constituting threats to the security of Canada, and to report to and advise the Government of Canada.
Communications Security Establishment
The Communications Security Establishment’s (CSE's) vision and mission is to be the national agency that masters the global information infrastructure to enhance Canada’s national security and prosperity and to provide and protect information through leading-edge capability.
CSE’s mandate is to acquire and use information from the global information infrastructure for the purpose of providing foreign intelligence, in accordance with Government of Canada intelligence priorities. The CSE also provides technical and operational assistance to federal law enforcement and security agencies in the performance of their lawful duties.
Correctional Service of Canada
The Correctional Service of Canada, as part of the criminal justice system, contributes to public safety by actively encouraging and assisting offenders to become law-abiding citizens, while exercising reasonable, safe, secure, and humane control.
Department of National Defence
Protecting Canadians and defending Canada’s sovereignty is the Department of National Defence’s first priority. The Canadian Forces works with Canada’s closest ally, the United States of America, to defend North America, and contributes to international peace and security through operations around the world.
Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada
Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada’s (FINTRAC's) mission is to provide law enforcement and intelligence agencies with financial intelligence on money-laundering, terrorist activity financing, and threats to the security of Canada, while ensuring the protection of the information it holds.
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada
The Departament of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) represents Canada around the world through its network of embassies, consulates, and trade offices, and through its participation in multilateral institutions and international treaties and arrangements. DFAIT helps Canadian companies expand and succeed internationally by promoting Canada as a dynamic place in which to do business and by negotiating and administering trade agreements. DFAIT ensures the security of Canadians within a global framework, and promotes Canadian values and culture on the international stage.

The Privy Council Office’s (PCO's) mission is to serve Canada and Canadians by providing the best non-partisan advice and support to the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Led by the Clerk of the Privy Council, PCO facilitates the smooth and effective operations of Cabinet and the Government of Canada through the work of the PCO secretariats.
PCO helps to clearly articulate and implement the Government’s policy agenda and to coordinate timely responses to issues facing the government and the country. It also works to maintain the highest professional and ethical standards in the federal Public Service.
Public Safety Canada’s (PS's) mandate is to keep Canadians safe from a range of risks, such as natural disasters, crime, and terrorism. To do this, the PS coordinates and supports the efforts of federal organizations ensuring national security and the safety of Canadians. The PS also works with other levels of government, first responders, community groups, the private sector, and other nations.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is the Canadian national police service and an agency of Ministry of Public Safety Canada.
The RCMP is unique in the world because it is a national, federal, provincial, and municipal policing body. The RCMP provides federal policing service to all Canadians, and policing services under contract to three territories, eight provinces (except Ontario and Quebec), more than 200 municipalities, and 165 Aboriginal communities.
Sûreté du Québec (In French only)
The mission of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is to “maintain peace and order and to ensure the public’s safety”. The SQ works throughout Quebec to maintain public order and peace, preserving the lives, safety and fundamental rights of individuals, as well as protecting their possessions. The SQ also supports the police community, coordinates large-scale police operations, contributes to the integrity of state institutions, and ensures the safety of transportation networks under Quebec’s responsibility.
Transport Canada’s (TC's) mission is to develop and administer policies, regulations, and services for the best transportation system for Canada and Canadians—one that is safe and secure, efficient, affordable, integrated, and environmentally friendly.
